Overview

Oris Cruise is a boutique overnight cruise on Bai Tu Long Bay, inspired by the homes, crafts and food of Northern Vietnam. The cruise departs from Ao Tien Terminal in Van Don and sails the quieter waters east of Ha Long. All four cabin categories have a private balcony.

The 2D1N route covers kayaking at Tay Hoi Island, an overnight stop near Nha Tro and a visit to Long Van Cave. The 3D2N route adds a day at Lao Vong Fishing Village and a seafood dinner on board. Guests who book the transfer are picked up at their hotel in the Hanoi Old Quarter for the drive east to the coast.

Check-in at Ao Tien Cruise Terminal
The ORIS team meets you at the terminal and helps with check-in before boarding.

Welcome on board
Your first afternoon starts with a welcome drink, a meeting with the crew and the ORIS Three Welcome Drumbeats, followed by a short safety briefing. After checking in to your cabin, you can relax on the private balcony while the cruise sails into the bay.

Lunch in the Tonkin Dining Room
Lunch is served as ORIS sails toward Tay Hoi. The menu uses local ingredients from Quang Ninh and well-known dishes from Northern Vietnam.

Kayaking at Tay Hoi Island
You paddle between the rocks around Tay Hoi Island, a quiet area that few cruises visit. Kayaking depends on the weather, tides and local rules.

Free afternoon on board
After kayaking, guests return to the cruise as ORIS heads to its overnight anchorage near Nha Tro. The afternoon is free for the cabin, the Jacuzzi pool or the sundeck.

Sunset Hour and spring roll class
Drinks and light snacks are served on deck at sunset. During this time, the crew shows how to make traditional Vietnamese spring rolls, along with other cultural activities.

Heritage Dinner
The signature dinner in the Tonkin Dining Room is a modern take on the dishes of a Northern Vietnamese family home.

Evening on board
You can spend the evening in the lounge or try night squid fishing from the cruise.

Morning coffee on the sundeck
The day starts with Vietnamese drip coffee on the sundeck as the morning mist lifts. While the coffee drips, the guide shares stories about local farming and culture.

Light breakfast
Pastries, tea and coffee are served while the cruise continues through the bay.

Long Van Cave
ORIS sails to Long Van Cave in the Ha Long - Van Don area. Its limestone formations took millions of years to form.

Cabin check-out
After returning to the cruise, guests pack and check out of their cabins.

Farewell lunch
A buffet lunch is served in the dining room on the way back to port.

Return to Ao Tien Port
You say goodbye to the crew at Ao Tien, and guests with a transfer board the car back to Hanoi.

Drop-off in Hanoi
The car drops you at your hotel in the Hanoi Old Quarter.

More than 15 days before departure: no charge
7-14 days before departure: 50% of the total price
Less than 7 days before departure or no-show: 100% of the total price

Bookings of 6 cabins or more

More than 30 days before departure: no charge
15-30 days before departure: 50% of the total price
7-14 days before departure: 80% of the total price
Less than 7 days before departure or no-show: 100% of the total price

Amendments

Date changes requested 15 days or more before departure are free, subject to availability.
A change requested within 14 days of departure is treated as a cancellation.
For a new date or a cabin upgrade, the price is recalculated at the current seasonal rate, and any price difference applies.

Children Policy

Child age is based on the birth year shown in the passport.
Child rates apply to a maximum of 1 child per cabin.
0-4 years: free for 1 child per cabin, sharing the parents' bed.
5-11 years: 75% of the adult rate, sharing the parents' bed.
12 years and older: full adult rate.
2 children under 12 in their own cabin: full adult cabin rate.

Oris sails in Bai Tu Long Bay, the quieter area east of Ha Long Bay near Van Don. The 2D1N route visits Tay Hoi Island for kayaking, anchors overnight near Nha Tro and stops at Long Van Cave on Day 2. Fewer cruises travel this area than the main Ha Long routes.

No. The road transfer between Hanoi and Ao Tien Port is not included in the cruise price. Limousine and private car transfers from the Hanoi Old Quarter can be booked on request. Guests who arrange their own transport should reach the terminal before the 12:10 check-in.

The price includes a balcony cabin, 4 meals on board (2 lunches, 1 dinner and 1 breakfast), an English speaking guide, entrance fees, kayaking, a spring roll cooking class and a Vietnamese coffee experience. Only the Heritage Suite (48 m²) and the Courtyard Suite (50 m²) have a Jacuzzi tub and panoramic bay views. The Plum Garden and Lotus Garden cabins are 28 m², with a sea view and a standard bathtub. All four cabin types have a private balcony.
