Tran Binh An, who also uses the English name Jerry Tran, founded Beka Travel and runs it as director. He has lived and worked on Cat Ba Island since 2017.

Beka Travel operates its own boat on Lan Ha Bay rather than reselling seats on other operators' cruises, and now works with a team of 22. Three trips make up the core of what the company runs: a Lan Ha Bay day tour, a 2 days 1 night cruise, and a 3 days 2 nights cruise.

Every departure starts from Cat Ba Island rather than Ha Long City. That single difference changes the route, the transfer time from Hanoi, and which part of the bay a trip reaches, which is why it comes up in most booking questions.
