The Hydrofoil trip takes only about 1 hour and will drop passengers right at the center of Cat Ba town. Currently, from Binh Wharf to Cat Ba, there is only one boat company, Mekong Hoang Yen; you go to Binh Wharf to buy tickets at the counter and board the boat.

By Cable Car
You travel to Cat Hai station yourself, about 3km from Got Ferry Terminal, buy a cable car ticket to Phu Long station, Cat Ba, then take a taxi to the center of Cat Ba town. With this method, those driving private cars should leave their cars at the free parking lot at the station to board the Cat Ba Cable Car.
